Event Info
Relays are a great way to step up to racing by being part of a team. The Woodend Relays is the first real off-road relay of the Athletics Canterbury winter season. We extend a warm welcome to this opportunity to try cross country running as a team.
Lionel Fox
We attribute this event to a very famous local Canterbury Christchurch runner - Lionel Fox. Lionel Ernest Fox (29 September 1912 – 1 April 1978) was a New Zealand long-distance athlete who represented NZ at the 1950 British Empire Games.
