Club secretary Race call

Community runners are welcome to join us. Simply turn up to the information desk at least 30 minutes before your race. Cost is $20 for those 18 & over and $10 for under 18. Community runners are not eligible for championship medals.

This championship race serves to  identify the local champions, as well as acting as the selection race for the National Champs. It is the pinnacle race for the Cross-Country season.

The race is open to all competitors, but those wishing to be considered for selection to the Canterbury team to compete at the National Cross-Country Championships will need to be an Athletics NZ registered member.

Lorna Overend from the  Ladies Pioneer Harrier club played a significant role in promoting running among young women. In her memory $100 is awarded annually to the winners of the Canterbury Cross Country Championships grades for the Senior, U20 and U18 women.
