Under 16 Club Classic: This is a race designed for those fresh face kids under 16 years of age to compete in. Everyone gets to race 2 laps, after the first lap there is a 5 – minute wait that begins on the first runner in. Then everyone goes again for the second lap.

• Canterbury affiliated athletes enter via your club, community athletes enter on the night for $10

• Canterbury affiliated athletes can also enter on the night for a late fee entry of $10

 

The Open Race: This is an option for our adult runners, with all abilities welcome! You may be a handy sub 20-minute Park Runner, or your fun loving 30min + plodder. Everyone is welcome to compete in this 3 lap instant classic.

• Canterbury affiliated athletes enter via your club, community athletes enter on the night for $20

• Canterbury affiliated athletes can also enter on the night for a late fee entry of $20

 

Men’s / Women’s Eliminator: Caution! This race could get interesting! The eliminator is a ‘last person standing’, 3 lap affair, with the field being reduced after each lap. Each lap will be followed by a 2-minute break that begins the moment the winner of the lap crosses the finish line.  Selection & field size for the eliminator will be announced Thursday 15rd of May at 8pm. Those interested in being selected to compete in the eliminator need to express interest and provide a recent 5k time in the entry form. A master's version will be added if sufficient interest.

Example:

18-person field, first 12 through the line go through to the second lap, first 6 through the line go through to the third and final lap (minimum of 6 people will start the third lap, regardless of field size).
